hello

I am Dr Bulent Genc

I am a Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon who works primarily on Prominent Ears.

I was born in Germany in 1974. In 1982, my family and I relocated to Mersin, Turkey. I attended Icel Anatolian High School for five years, where I devoted myself to sculpting and took part in numerous school exhibitions. My journey continued as I entered medical school at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, English Division. Throughout my university years, I pursued my passion for sculpting to the best of my abilities. Driven by my fascination with the plastic arts, I developed a particular interest in Aesthetic Surgery and actively participated in various anatomy studies and surgical procedures as a medical student.

After successfully completing my medical degree in 1999, I embarked on a unique path by studying sculpture as a visiting student at the Sculpture Department of Mersin University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Soon after, I commenced my residency training in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Vakif Gureba Education Hospital in Istanbul. During this intensive period of training, I gained invaluable experience in a wide range of surgical procedures, including those involving the Head and Neck, Aesthetic Surgery, Congenital Anomalies, and Hand Surgery.

My profound interest in the three-dimensional anatomy of the ear led me to specialize in ear surgeries. I performed numerous operations to correct prominent ears and successfully reconstructed ears using rib cartilage in cases of microtia, where the ear cartilage is congenitally absent.

In 2006, I completed my specialty training and went on to work in various hospitals across Istanbul. My dedication to excellence led me to an extraordinary opportunity in 2016 when I served as an observer at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, and Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, FL, USA.

In 2019, I realized my dream of establishing my private practice, located in Caddebostan on Baghdad Street in Istanbul, where I continue to provide specialized care in the field of Aesthetic Surgery.
